Fine 5mm x 5mm Mesh

One of the key features of Pestrol Wildlife Safe Bird Netting is its fine 5mm x 5mm mesh.

The smaller openings provide an effective physical barrier against small and young birds, while allowing essential air and light to reach the plants underneath.

This makes it particularly useful around fruit trees and garden crops where a finer mesh is preferred.

Ideal for Fruit Trees & Small Gardens

The 5m x 5m size provides approximately 25m² of netting and is well suited to smaller residential and horticultural applications.

Use it around:

• Individual fruit trees
• Small fruit-tree canopies
• Berry-growing areas
• Small vegetable gardens
• Raised garden beds
• Small shrubs
• Backyard gardens
• Small growing areas

40GSM Construction

At 40 grams per square metre, this netting provides a lightweight yet robust physical barrier that can be positioned around a variety of garden areas.

Its flexible construction makes it easier to install around trees, garden beds and other growing areas while still providing effective coverage.

UV-Stabilised Polyethylene

The netting is manufactured from UV-stabilised knotless polyethylene and is made with three UV-treated polyethylene monofilaments.

This construction is designed to withstand outdoor exposure and changing weather conditions.

The netting offers UV resistance for up to 10 years and is backed by an 8-year warranty.

Why Choose Black Wildlife Safe Netting?

Black netting provides a more discreet appearance against many garden and natural backgrounds.

It tends to blend into vegetation and surrounding landscaping, making it a popular option where you want effective physical protection without the netting becoming a prominent visual feature.

Black netting is particularly suitable for:

• Residential gardens
• Backyard fruit trees
• Landscaped properties
• Vegetable gardens
• Orchards
• Areas where discreet netting is preferred

Where Can It Be Used?

Pestrol Wildlife Safe Bird Netting can be used in a variety of growing environments, including:

• Backyard fruit trees
• Vegetable gardens
• Residential gardens
• Orchards
• Vineyards
• Berry-growing areas
• Horticultural areas

Installing Wildlife Safe Bird Netting

Correct installation is important for both effective crop protection and wildlife safety.

For best results:

1. Measure the area requiring protection.
2. Position the netting over a suitable frame or around the growing area.
3. Keep the netting appropriately tensioned rather than loosely draped.
4. Secure the edges to minimise gaps where birds may enter.
5. Avoid leaving loose or unused sections of netting accessible.
6. Regularly inspect the netting for damage or movement.
7. Remove and store the netting securely when it is no longer required.

When installing around trees, allow sufficient room for branches, fruit and ongoing plant growth.

Wildlife-Safe Use

The fine mesh is designed to provide effective crop protection while helping reduce wildlife access to the protected area.

As with any bird netting, correct installation and ongoing inspection are essential. Netting should be kept securely installed and appropriately tensioned to minimise the risk of birds or other animals becoming caught or entangled.

Repair damaged areas promptly and remove unused netting rather than leaving it loose around the property.
