The Hawk Bird Scarer is a realistic, full-sized hawk replica made from durable, weather-proof plastic. Its flapping wing tips mimic a real hawk’s movement.
Originally created to scare seagulls and shags away from boats and wharves, this device also protects crops. Hang it over or near crops like stone fruits, pome fruits, nuts, berries, or broad-acre crops to keep birds away in both calm and windy conditions.
This eco-friendly bird scarer needs no power, wind, or poison. One unit is suitable for a domestic garden or pleasure craft. For large commercial crops, use multiple units.
For best results, hang two Hawk Bird Scarers from high trees to cover up to 2 hectares. Placing them on a pole or guide-wire between two trees works well too.
The Hawk Bird Scarer effectively deters starlings, mynahs, pigeons, swallows, seagulls, and ducks. However, it may not fully deter sparrows. It won’t stop birds from nesting if they already have, but installing it before the nesting season will prevent future nesting.

Doesn’t look exactly like a real hawk, but works great! The wing movement is what really scares the birds. I was worried about the design, but it’s done wonders in my orchard.

We’ve had real problems with ducks in our swimming pool (even with the pool cover on) and all the mess that entails… “Tony Hawk” has made an amazing difference, with no ducks now for at least the last two weeks. We strung him with wire from an extendable pool-scoop pole and he hangs over the pool overnight. Being kite-like, he swoops menacingly in the breeze and ducks don’t come anywhere near the pool. Tony has been much more effective for us than water-based solutions like No More Ducks – I can’t speak highly enough about him!
