Maxicrop Triple is a concentrated liquid for Plant & Soil, made by extracting compounds from seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) and enhancing them with natural trace elements. It is designed to be diluted with water and sprayed onto plant leaves during the early growth phase, or, applied as a very strong solution around the drip line/feeding area once or twice a year.
Maxicrop was introduced to New Zealand 60 years ago. It acts as a biostimulant, not a fertiliser. Fertilisers act to make the soil that a plant relies on more fertile whereas biostimulants stimulate natural processes that enhance/benefit nutrient uptake and utilisation, tolerance to abiotic stress, and crop quality.

In the last 15 years, extensive research has shown how applications of Maxicrop, and some of its constituent compounds can cause a plant to:

(a) increase the numbers of chloroplasts in the leaf, effectively increasing photosynthesis,

(b) cause the plant to increase its mass and growth of roots

(c ) increase the production of a group of beneficial soil bacterium (Pseudomonas fluorescens group) and;

(d) cause some plants to increase their tolerance to frost.

BEST PRACTICE

Maxicrop is designed to be applied as a weak solution to the foliage of horticultural plants every 7 to 14 days during the early growth stages, or applied as a very strong solution around the drip line/feeding area once or twice a year.

We recommend that in a commercial scenario, farmers apply solid fertiliser and lime to ensure their plants and crops get the important key NPKS and calcium levels. In a home garden environment, the use of compost and lime may provide your soil with its nutrients and pH buffering.

Regular soil testing should be practiced to ensure a healthy and balanced soil.
