Lady’s Finger Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), have a long ornamental seed pod, that may be par-boiled and fried, or added to stews, soups or curries. Relatively mild, they add a very distinctive flavour to all these dishes. This variety is vigorous and produces large crops.

How To Grow:

Prepare the soil well by adding organic material and a complete fertiliser.
Sow 6mm deep in seed tray or punnet, in seed raising mix or compost. Keep moist.
Thin out and transplant into final position when about 10cm tall.
Space plants 50-60cm (20-24in) apart.
When To Plant: Early Spring to early Summer.

Harvest: 4-5 days after flowers have opened.
