The Hollow Crown Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa) has compact, conical roots, meaning it can be squeezed in to a smaller space than other varieties. Parsnips do best in an open sunny position.

How To Grow:

  1. Drop seeds 6mm deep in rows 45cm apart.
  2. Sow thickly as germination is irregular.
  3. Thin out gradually to 25cm apart.

When To Plant: Year round apart from Winter.
