when do you place these lure's out is it blossom time? Warwick asked on 9 July 2025

Hi Warwick, to deter pests effectively, place the lures just before blossoms appear and keep them active until fruit begins to set. Once blossoms are completely finished and fruit starts forming, it’s best to remove the lures, as their effectiveness diminishes and they can attract unintended insects.

In summary:

Install: Just before bloom (pre-blossom).

Leave in place: Through pollination and early fruit set.

Remove: Once full blossoms are gone and fruit has set.

You can use them all year round. Guava moth will over winter in citrus. The moth lays eggs on ripening fruit. I have never had a unintended insect land in the trap, at any time of the year. Unlike the purple light 'ecotrap' which kills 99% unintended insects.
